Fujita Health University (Toyoake City, Aichi Prefecture) and Sun Electronics Co., Ltd. (Konan City, Aichi Prefecture) announced on March 3 that they have started a joint demonstration experiment using smart glasses with the aim of improving the quality of medical education. ..By wearing smart glasses like glasses, you can acquire eye movements similar to actual surgery during training.

With the sophistication and fragmentation of medical practice, there is an urgent need to develop excellent human resources, and medical students, nurses, and residents are required to acquire high-quality skills that are directly linked to the safety and security of patients. It has been demanded. In response to this, the two companies have started a joint demonstration experiment using Sun Electronics' smart glasses and "AceReal," which provides one-stop business improvement software.

In the experiment, students in training are made to wear smart glasses, and pre-registered educational content is displayed in front of the student's line of sight via the cloud. As a result, it is possible to check the educational content while keeping the eyes on the training device without looking away from the surgical field, so that it is possible to acquire eye movements close to the actual one.Furthermore, if the remote support function is used, the video that is close to the line of sight during training can be delivered live to the instructor's PC, enabling timely grasp of the student's hand movements and more accurate instruction.

In the future, both will add and verify functions while reflecting the results obtained in the demonstration experiment.
