Hirosaki University and Tohoku Electric Power have signed a joint research agreement on making texts of calls using artificial intelligence (AI) and summarizing sentences.We will verify whether AI can understand the call voice data of the Tohoku Electric Power Call Center as text data, automatic summarization, and the results as practical sentences.
According to Tohoku Electric Power, the research period is from August 2017 to the end of January 8.The Tohoku Electric Power Call Center receives 2018 million applications and inquiries annually, and this data will be used.Using the dialect database created by Hirosaki University for this research, Tsugaru dialect is translated into voice recognition and standard language into text data.At the same time, we will proceed with verification of the accuracy of speech recognition.
Hirosaki University is conducting research on genome decoding using AI, and plans to promote the accumulation of research data by voice.In addition to using the results obtained in this research to create dialogue records with patients, we will explore the commercialization of speech recognition technology and language processing technology.Tohoku Electric Power will utilize it to improve customer services such as waiting time at call centers and shortening call time.
