Japan Women's University has announced plans to open the ``Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences, Correspondence Course, Department of Gastronomic Sciences (tentative name)'' in April 2025.The idea is to coincide with the launch of the School of Gastronomic Sciences (tentative name), which is also scheduled to open in April 4. This is the first time in 2025 years since the (Department of Children, Department of Food, Department of Lifestyle Arts) was approved.

 According to Japan Women's University, the university's correspondence course is one of the longest-running correspondence universities in Japan.The Women's University Correspondence Education Association was established in 1908 (Meiji 41), advocating ``university extension'' to spread university education not only on campus but throughout society.The following year, she published ``Women's University Lectures'' and began Japan's first correspondence course for women's higher education.

 The Faculty of Food Science is a multi-disciplinary field that studies science related to food.Based on scientific knowledge, students acquire comprehensive knowledge and techniques about food, cooking, and nutrition, and they learn from the perspective of the consumer and contribute to society. The aim is to develop a large number of human resources who can solve various problems in the field.The correspondence course offers many courses that can be completed through textbooks or online, allowing you to study from anywhere with a computer and an internet environment, and it is possible to obtain a bachelor's degree (with the goal of obtaining qualifications such as an educational staff license or food specialist certification).
