Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has abolished the application criteria for hiring new graduates, which had been ``within three years of graduating from the final academic background'', and job seekers are now free to choose between hiring new graduates and hiring experienced workers according to their career aspirations. Allow choice.

The application criteria for hiring new graduates, which had previously been ``within three years of graduating from their final academic background,'' will be abolished. Regardless of the number of years that have passed since graduating from the final academic background, the only application criteria will be whether or not you have any work experience after graduation. If you have no work experience, you can only apply for new graduate employment (no change from before); if you have work experience, you may be hired as a second graduate or experienced person, regardless of the length of your working period, depending on your career aspirations. Allow people to freely choose either option. Even if you have a certain number of years of work experience at another company, if you wish to restart your career from scratch as a new employee, you can apply for the second new graduate recruitment. After joining the company, the same treatment and training system as new graduate hires will be applied.

Mitsubishi Electric is also working to strengthen job matching for new graduate recruitment as part of its human resource strategy and human resource management. In the administrative field, in addition to the traditional "open course" where assignments are adjusted based on the applicant's aptitude and wishes after being offered a job offer, for staff positions, applicants are assigned where they are assigned upon joining the company according to their needs and expertise. A new “Job Type Guaranteed Course” will be established in 2023 to pre-determine the type of job. In the technical field, in addition to the "assignment designated recruitment system" in which the assignment at the time of joining the company is determined in advance from among those with different specifications such as business fields, job types, work locations, etc., in addition to the "assignment designated recruitment system", in rarer and more advanced technical fields etc., regular new graduates are hired. From FY2023, we have established a new ``Recruitment System PLUS'' that allows us to offer higher-level treatment conditions (salaries and bonuses) than those offered by employees.

In addition, a new "Re-MELCO ~Alumni Network~" was established to build connections with retirees, and began operation on January 2024, 1. We aim to expand re-employment opportunities by providing regular information, including job information, through our network and strengthening ongoing connections with human resources both inside and outside the company who have a wide range of experience and a high level of expertise.
