Keio University, in collaboration with Watami, a major restaurant company, will begin supporting the delivery of meal kits and bento boxes to female students who have moved away from their hometowns and are living alone, as well as students who need support due to financial hardship at home. Although they have previously provided meal support in cooperation with the Keio University Co-op, this is the first time they have collaborated with a company to provide support.

According to Keio University, the recipients of the support are approximately 200 female freshmen from high schools outside the Kanto region who are newly starting to live on their own, and approximately 370 students who require support due to financial hardship at home. Eight two-person meal kits will be provided each month to female students, and one Watami bento box will be provided to students in need of assistance once a month, free of charge.

Meal kits and boxed lunches are prepared by registered dietitians with nutritional balance in mind, and staff members deliver them to students' homes on designated days every month. If you are out of town for classes, part-time work, club activities, etc., we will take care of you. With nutritional education in mind, we also deliver a column by a registered dietitian once a month.

There are students at Keio University who earn most of their living expenses through part-time jobs because their families are in financial difficulties or have moved away from their parents. Moreover, student life is becoming even more difficult due to the recent rise in prices.
