USEN Co., Ltd. will hold the sound source of "Music that encourages returning home" produced in collaboration with Tokyo University of the Arts from May 2019 to 5, 29 at the Tokyo Big Sight Aomi Exhibition Building. It is open to the public at "Reform EXPO".
Since 2013, USEN has been developing the BGM "Sound Design for OFFICE" for offices, which focuses on adjusting the mental balance of office workers. From December 2018, we started joint research with Tokyo University of the Arts on music production that has the effect of encouraging the feeling of ending work.
In the joint research, with the cooperation of Professor Toru Kamekawa and Associate Professor Atsushi Marui of the Department of Music Environment Creation, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts, we conducted a web survey of 900 office workers, and each situation such as the progress of work at the end of the workday. The psychological state of the patient was analyzed using a psychometric scale. After that, USEN's production staff selected existing songs that matched the image with the psychological state index obtained by the survey. The consistency of the selected songs was evaluated and verified by the Department of Music Environment Creation, Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts.
Based on the research results, the songs were composed, arranged, and recorded by USEN, and in February 2019, the sound source of "Music that encourages returning home" was released. It will be open to the public for the first time at the "2th Work Style Reform EXPO" from May 5th.
