Otemon Gakuin University Faculty of Psychology Department of Psychology has been focusing on psychology education and psychology research since the university was founded in 1966.It has the fourth history at a private university in Kansai and currently covers as many as 4 psychology lecture items.

　It was announced that the establishment is underway at the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science in the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Psychology.As the demand for human resources who can apply data science and artificial intelligence (AI) increases, we will assign full-time faculty members to each field based on our past achievements and aim for new science and engineering education that connects human intelligence mechanisms and AI. ..

　The curriculum covers the three fields of "image / video media," "language media," and "machine learning / data science" from the perspective of AI (machine), and "thinking / decision making" and "decision" from the perspective of cognitive science (human). Two fields of "physical cognition and control" will be established.Basic subjects will be related to information technology such as "programming exercises" and "statistical mathematics", and basic subjects will be arranged according to fields such as "introduction to image / video processing" and "machine learning algorithms".

　The planned enrollment capacity is 40 people.In the selection of new students, mathematics and English are required for general entrance examinations.Details of the examination will be announced on the official university homepage "Admissions Navi" as soon as it is decided.
