Nagoya University and Nagoya Institute of Technology have established the "Hoshizaki Scholarship", a benefit-type scholarship donated by Mr. Seishi Sakamoto, chairman and president of Hoshizaki Electric Co., Ltd. (Toyoake City, Aichi Prefecture), a major manufacturer of commercial kitchen equipment.
The "Hoshizaki Scholarship" was established with the donations of Mr. Seishi Sakamoto, who is also the president of Sakamoto Donation Foundation Co., Ltd., and Mr. Haruyo Sakamoto. It is the first scholarship in Japan to accept the shares held by both of them as donations and use the dividends as a source of funds.
Based on Mr. Sakamoto's intention to "support students who have strong motivation and high abilities but have difficulty in studying due to financial reasons", it is not necessary to return the funds necessary for studying to students in financial distress. It will be provided as a scholarship.Basically, we are planning to provide benefits to students who wish to be involved in professions related to manufacturing in the future, but it does not impose specific restrictions on the graduation and career paths of the beneficiaries. ..
