Japan ranked 1th in the World Electronics (* 11) Government Progress Ranking selected by 2 universities around the world under the umbrella of the International CIO (* 5) Society such as Waseda University. First place is Singapore and second place is the United States.It is analyzed that although the penetration rate and usage rate of e-government are increasing in Japan, the utilization of mobile devices such as smartphones is delayed.

 According to Waseda University, the survey will be led by Waseda University's e-government and local government research institutes, and will collaborate with representatives from 11 universities around the world.Along with expert analysis, the progress of e-government was compared among 65 advanced ICT (information and communication technology) countries through discussions at international conferences, international organizations, and related governments.
