On February 2018, 2, the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo, SoftBank Corp. and SoftBank Corp. will promote a short-time work system that allows people who have difficulty working long hours due to disabilities to work less than 20 hours a week. "Timework Alliance" was launched.
The short time work system is an initiative started by SoftBank in May 2016.In collaboration with the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo, we are researching the environment necessary for people who have difficulty working long hours due to disabilities, such as management and adjustment of the working environment and consensus building regarding consideration in the workplace.
This time, we have launched the "Short Time Work Alliance" to promote the short time work system and aim for a society where each person can take on challenges while making the best use of their characteristics, regardless of time or disability.Currently, we are looking for companies and local governments that support this initiative and introduce a short-time work system.
A conference will be held at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo on April 2018, 4.We plan to give a keynote speech by Associate Professor Takeo Kondo on the ultra-short-time employment system, introduce the philosophy of the short-time work alliance and participating companies and local governments, and share examples of the short-time work system. There is no membership fee. Those who wish to participate apply by email from the site.
So far, the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology of the University of Tokyo and the SoftBank Group have been implementing a "magic project" since 2009 to support children with disabilities in learning and living by utilizing ICT with the aim of promoting opportunities for children with disabilities to participate in society. With this project as a trigger, we introduced a short-time work system to support people who have reached the working age.
