University entrance examination reform, high school connection system reform now

Nobuyasu Morikami:Professor Yamagoku also talked about the special entrance examination, but I would like to ask Professor Miyamoto, who was a member of the High School Connection System Reform Conference on behalf of high schools, to talk a little about the progress of the high school connection system reform.

Hisaya Miyamoto (Tokyo Metropolitan Nishi High School, President of the National High School Directors Association):After issuing the report at the end of March, review teams are currently working on each of the three issues. The question is what to do with the overall design after clearing the individual entrance exams for the university entrance applicants' academic ability evaluation test (hereinafter referred to as "applicant test") and the basic academic ability evaluation test (hereinafter referred to as "basic ability test").The study preparation group issued an interim report the other day, and the following three proposals, including the schedule, were submitted for the applicant test, which is of particular interest to the principals, on the premise of introducing a descriptive formula. (XNUMX) Conduct a mark sheet and a simple description formula at the time of the current center test. (XNUMX) One month before that, the mark sheet and the descriptive formula will be held at the same time. (XNUMX) The mark sheet and descriptive formula will be held on the current schedule, and the scoring will be done by the national university to which the application is submitted.

But there is a problem with everything. There is a possibility that one plan will not be in time for the selection of private universities, whether the significance of introducing the descriptive formula can be utilized. The two plans have a large impact on high school education. The three plans are individual circumstances of national universities, and how to handle the use of private university centers. In English, the direction of looking at four skills was set out. With regard to the two skills of speaking and writing, the use of private qualification / certification tests has also come into view. The two skills of "reading" and "listening" are at the current center, and writing and speaking are done by the private sector on different schedules. There is also a plan that all four skills will be private in the future. In the individual entrance examination, what should be done with the recommendation, AO, and general classification?

Another issue is whether it is possible to see a variety of learning from multiple perspectives in the general entrance examination. In connection with these, changes to the survey report are also planned. For example, there are more items and spaces to fill in than at present.Another issue is how to deal with the relationship between the special entrance exams that have already started and the general entrance exams. For the time being, the basic ability test will not be used for recommendation, AO entrance examination, or employment examination at the time of employment, but will be used for checking the PDCA (plan-docheck-act) cycle for improving academic ability. From the initial simultaneous implementation time, it will eventually be left to each school, and it seems that multiple difficulty levels will be prepared, and 12 schools have already been designated nationwide and experiments have begun.Although the overall concept is large, how do you specifically design it while CBT (ComputerB ased Testing) and IRT (Item response theory) technologies have not been established? The reform schedule will not be changed, and we will start from where we can do it, and we will announce it concretely at the end of April next year, so we have no time.
