Data science is a discipline consisting of informatics and statistics.Both are old disciplines, but the faculties with the title of data science or statistics have long existed only in overseas universities. In 2017, Shiga University opened the Faculty of Data Science for the first time in Japan.

 

 

　In order to complete a literary and science-integrated organization, faculty members who have specialized in statistics and informatics in the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Economics, as well as specialists in medicine and sociology, and faculty members who are good at working in public institutions and companies.
