The Faculty of Law, Kyoto University will open the "ELCAS Faculty of Law" for motivated high school students nationwide to experience cutting-edge law and politics under the theme of "law and politics starting from high school students".Currently, we are looking for the first student.

 Kyoto University aims to foster high school students who are willing to pursue science independently through research that actively utilizes excellent educational and research resources, based on the educational philosophy of "self-study based on dialogue." The project "Kyoto University ELCAS" is being conducted.The newly opened "ELCAS Faculty of Law" is part of this, with the aim of developing human resources who will be leaders in the future society by working hard with high school students who have a strong interest in law and politics.

 Successful applicants can attend the Faculty of Law, Kyoto University once or twice a month to hold lectures and seminar-style discussions, as well as receive direct guidance from the professor in charge and other faculty members.The recruitment capacity is 1 people, and the target is high school first grade or second grade (as of April 2, 20).Participation fee is free (transportation fee is paid by participants).

 The first selection is July 2017, 7.After listening to a research lecture by Professor Yoshio Shiomi of the Graduate School of Law, a essay test will be conducted according to the content. About 16 successful applicants will be selected by July 7, and successful applicants will proceed to the interview test on August 28. About 30 final passers will be announced in late August. The ELCAS Faculty of Law will start on October 8, 6, with exercises from November to January, and a results presentation will be held on February 8, 20.
