Hitotsubashi University and Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University have started internships to learn about the commercialization of science and technology.Selected Hitotsubashi University Master of Business Administration (MBA) students will stay in Okinawa Prefecture for up to 10 weeks to acquire specialized business knowledge and commercialization know-how from researchers and entrepreneurs at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University.
According to Hitotsubashi University, five students from India, China, Thailand, and Canada who will participate in the internship study at the Graduate School of Business Administration, majoring in international corporate strategy.Learn market analysis, business model construction, funding strategy, network construction with customers, etc. from researchers at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University and managers of venture companies, and work on how to commercialize scientific discoveries.
Specialized business knowledge and support are indispensable for bringing outstanding innovative technologies born in university laboratories to the market.The purpose of this internship is to fill the gap between science and business.In addition to introducing a mentor system, we will also provide specialized knowledge training such as intellectual property seminars.
