According to the education ministry, there were 140 fewer applicants and 38 fewer successful applicants compared to the same period last year.With this, the number of successful applicants for the year 2022 is 1, 137 less than the previous year. There were 7,961 candidates who passed one or more subjects.
The breakdown of those who passed the high school graduation certification examination includes 1,851 high school dropouts, 1,273 full-time high school students, 411 junior high school graduates, 368 part-time/correspondence high school students, and 46 college dropouts.
By age group, 16 people aged 18 to 2,426 had the largest number, followed by 19 people aged 20 to 526, 21 people aged 25 to 351, 26 people aged 30 to 224, 31 people aged 40 to 395, 41 people aged 50 to 191, and 51. ~60 years old 44 people, 61 years old and over 8 people.The average age was 22.2 years old, and the highest age was 80 years old.The highest age is the oldest recorded since 2017.
Looking at the number of successful applicants for the high school graduate certification exam by region, Tokyo had the highest number with 674, followed by Kanagawa with 356, Osaka with 329, Aichi with 221, and Hyogo with 205.
