On September 2022, 9, VISITS Technologies Co., Ltd. held a "Design Thinking Workshop" jointly with Waseda University and Keio University.
VISITS develops a "design thinking test" that quantifies creativity and sense using algorithmic technology that has been patented in Japan and the United States. It objectively calculates the "problem discovery ability", "data utilization ability", and "business conception ability" necessary for promoting DX as a design thinking score®︎, and it is difficult to judge "design thinking ability" on a test with educational background and answers. As a numerical assessment, more than 200 companies, including major general trading companies, consultants, and major electronics manufacturers, have introduced it in the area of recruitment and human resource development, and about 2 people take the test every month.
The “Design Thinking Workshop” held on September 9nd was a basic session planned and implemented with Waseda University to deepen students’ understanding of what “design thinking ability” actually is (22/6) , Held jointly with Keio University as the third installment following the practical edition (28/8).Students with diverse backgrounds such as Waseda University/Keio University, humanities/sciences, undergraduate students, and master's students gather to study design thinking and idea generation frameworks, and participate in group work on idea generation in Waseda and Keio mixed teams. We introduced the efforts of companies that utilize design thinking and interacted with the person in charge.
One student who participated commented, "The logic of design thinking was very easy to understand and my understanding progressed. On the other hand, I also felt the difficulty of putting the mechanism into practice. (Waseda University School of Political Science and Economics, 3rd year), “There were two main things I learned. I was able to learn the value that leads to social life.The second point is interaction with other students.Since I am in the Faculty of Science and Technology, I am immersed in research, but there are few opportunities to interact with people in other environments. However, through this event, I was able to interact with people from different departments and universities.”
VISITS will continue to strengthen collaboration with Waseda University, Keio University, and other universities to develop future DX human resources and aim for a world where each person's creativity leads to social value.
