This is the first time for Nanzan University to set up an office overseas, and it is the fourth university in Aichi prefecture to have an office in Shanghai after Nagoya University, Aichi University, and Chubu University. From the fall of 4, staff from local outsourced companies have started PR activities and support for international students in two locations, Beijing and Shanghai.No dedicated staff will be dispatched from Japan to the office, and local Chinese staff who have been outsourced will work according to the policy of the university.
　
　Approximately 40 people participated in the opening ceremony, including the Consul General of the Consulate General of Shanghai, the Principal of the Shanghai Japanese School High School, the Vice President of Huadong Normal University, Nanzan University graduates, and international student graduates.In his opening remarks, Torisu, the head of literature, said, "In order to realize our internationalization vision, it is very important to utilize the Chinese office, and we would like to have more active exchanges with China." We hoped for further revitalization of internationalization and exchanges with China.

　In the closing remarks, Vice President Masahiro Hoshino (International Affairs), who specializes in contemporary Chinese politics, gave a speech in fluent Chinese and gave a big applause. It was deepened.

　Nanzan University, a Catholic university, has had close exchanges with Western universities, but has also focused on Asia, such as establishing an Asian department in the Faculty of Foreign Studies in 2000.We plan to continue to consider establishing overseas offices not only in China, and have set a goal of increasing the number of foreign students, who currently have more than 300, to 600 in the future.
