Chiba University's Advanced Science Center will hold a lecture "You too Physics Challenge! 2023" for challengers of the "Physics Challenge", which is also a qualifying round for the International Physics Olympiad.

Physics Challenge (19th National Physics Contest Physics Challenge) is a nationwide physics contest for high school and junior high school students under the age of 20 who have not yet entered a university or other higher educational institution.Participants with excellent results will be sent to represent Japan in the International Physics Olympiad in the following year.

In the Advanced Science Program at Chiba University (skip admission), those who pass the first screening of the "Physics Challenge" are exempted from writing essays in the Special Selection Selection Method I (physics-related fields and engineering-related fields). From the 1 (Reiwa 2025) admissions selection, we will select those who participated in the first challenge of the "Physics Challenge" in the comprehensive selection of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Chiba University.

The course will be held four times from April 2023th to May 4th, 29.Professors from Chiba University act as lecturers.Physics Challenge 5st and 7nd Challenges, practice tests using past questions from the Physics Olympiad and their explanations, experimental assignments using the Physics Challenge 4nd Challenge questions, and guidance on how to write a report.

Both course tuition and admission for participants are free. The application period for participants is March 2023, 3 (Monday) to April 13, 4 (Monday). The number of applicants is 24 on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply, send an email to the Chiba University High School-University Collaboration Support Office with ① your name (furigana) ② school name ③ grade from April ④ contact email address ⑤ phone number (a number that is easy to contact). In principle, the course is aimed at high school students, so junior high school students who wish to attend must inquire before applying.
