Tohoku University Medical Physics Group and Elith Hold “Tohoku Medical Physics Skill Up Workshop” Online
The Tohoku University Medical Physics Group collaborated with Elith Co., Ltd., which develops research, development, design, planning, education, sales, maintenance, and consulting services related to AI, and held the "5st Tohoku Medical Physics Skill Up Workshop in 1". online.
The use of AI in medical imaging is expected to continue to increase in the future.Therefore, in the workshop, we will understand the current situation of automatic contour extraction in radiotherapy planning, which is already being used in the field as a method of using AI, while looking at examples of its use in clinical settings.Next, through practical training using MONAI, a Python image processing framework, participants will experience AI movements that cannot be understood only by using clinical applications, deepening their understanding of automatic contour extraction.It can also be used as an opportunity for medical staff to start research using AI, and it is possible to participate without programming experience.
