At Edogawa University, as part of the "Exercise/Practice" subjects of the Music and Fashion Business Course in the Department of Management and Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, the "Edogawa Girls Award", a full-fledged girls' event in which students handle everything from planning to management, is held every November at the school festival. It is held in Tokyo and spreads the fusion of music and fashion to high school students nationwide.We are currently recruiting participants for our core program, the NEXTAGE ARTIST AUDITION, a light music contest for high school students.The application deadline is Thursday, August 11, 2023.
The core program "NEXTAGE ARTIST AUDITION" of the "Edogawa Girls Award" was planned by students for high school students who are trying to find something through music.Professionals in the music industry will be invited as judges to select "high school artists who will be responsible for the next generation and have the potential to compete on the world stage."Grand Prix winners will not only be awarded the title of "NEXTAGE ARTIST", but will also receive music production support during recording by music producer Yasuhiko Warita, and musical instrument and equipment support during recording and live performances by Yamaha K-ONB.Also, when debuting, Edogawa University students will support production, advertising, distribution, and performance support.
You can apply for the audition as a high school club activity, or as a private activity such as friends from the same school or other schools.There are two forms of entry: "Band Division" and "Solo Division".There are conditions such as the vocalist being female and the band having 5 or less members (no twin drums).In addition, although the genre does not matter, it will be an entry with an original song.

The first screening (video screening) will be held in September, and 59 groups will be selected for the second screening.
