Chiba University of Commerce held a workshop called “InSONEtion,” in which students take the lead in creating double-glazed classrooms and installing heat insulating materials on the walls in order to create comfortable, energy-saving classrooms that are cool in the summer and warm in the winter.  In the summer of 2022, at Chiba University of Commerce, with the support of a construction company run by alumni of Chiba University of Commerce, with the aim of reducing the use of air conditioning and reducing carbon dioxide emissions at the suggestion of the student group SONE*, Conducted a workshop to repair insulation.When we measured the effect in winter, we confirmed that the wall surface temperature of the classroom with insulation was increased by 5.3 degrees compared to the temperature of the classroom next door.

 This workshop will be held again in 2023, and students will learn about the goals of the SDGs: "4. Quality education," "7. Affordable and clean energy," "11. Sustainable community development," and "13. It is hoped that by thinking about "concrete measures against climate change", the awareness of energy conservation will further improve.
