Seikei University aims to open the Faculty of International Collaborative Creation (tentative name) in April 2026.The Faculty of International Co-creation will consist of one department, the ``Department of International Co-creation,'' under which there will be two majors: the ``Global Japanese Studies Department'' and the ``Environmental Sustainability Studies Department.''Please note that all faculty names, department names, and major names are tentative.
At the Faculty of International Collaborative Creation (tentative name), we will learn both theoretically and practically about the cultures, regions, and environments of Japan and the world in order to realize a sustainable earth and society. Explore various issues facing society from both global and local perspectives.We aim to develop human resources who have a multifaceted mindset in the liberal arts and sciences and who boldly take on the challenge of collaborating with others to solve social issues.
In addition, through strengthening of English skills, various specialized subjects in English, information analysis such as data science, field work in Japan and overseas, etc., we will develop the ability to express and communicate in order to play an active role in international society, and develop logical skills to solve problems. The aim is to acquire thinking skills and the ability to collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds.
The ``International Japanese Studies Major (tentative name)'' is based on ``Culture Studies'' and ``Regional Studies,'' etc., and focuses on cultural exchange and diversity that connect Japan and the world, as well as various issues facing Japan's globalized regions, and Japanese language. Learn about education, etc. from multiple angles. The ``Environmental Sustainability Studies Department'' (tentative name) has basic fields such as ``environmental studies'' and ``geography,'' and focuses on environmental scientific learning that collaborates with local communities and society, which Seikei University has pioneered.
