Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) and JTB Corporation have concluded a comprehensive collaboration agreement with the aim of contributing to regional development, academic research, and social development through the development of human resources and educational programs.
As there is a need to promote "internationalization that goes beyond universities" to connect the world, Japan, and the region, we promote the development and retention of global human resources who work together with local communities, and the diverse human resources that serve as the basis for this are active. Society demands that universities as a whole promote internationalization through initiatives aimed at realizing a cohesive society in which universities can live together.
Through this collaboration, APU and JTB have entered into a comprehensive collaboration agreement between APU's strengths as a university, such as "multicultural co-study/diversity and inclusion" human resource development, and JTB's strengths in "industry-government-academia networks." The two parties will promote a multicultural society by developing and disseminating educational programs that utilize the knowledge possessed by both parties.In addition, we aim to develop human resources who can change the world and to promote aspirations and actions that aim to create a better region, society, and country, and to become a driving force that energizes Oita, Kyushu, Japan, and the world, starting from Beppu.
Specifically, we will work together to develop junior high school and university collaborative programs, reskilling education programs for working adults, programs that contribute to creating social impact, and inclusive education programs aimed at realizing a cohesive society where diverse human resources can thrive.
