At Kanazawa Institute of Technology, the university's first student-led extracurricular project related to data science will be launched in 2023. Through participation in the ``University of Tokyo Global Consumer Intelligence Endowed Course'' and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's ``Manabi DX Quest'', he is working towards becoming a data scientist who can solve social issues.

At Kanazawa Institute of Technology, students take the initiative in holding activities such as the ``Department Project,'' where students work on academic themes, and the ``Yume Kobo Project,'' where they work on full-scale manufacturing, as a place to further deepen the knowledge they have learned in class. I am involved in various extracurricular projects. From 2023, this will be followed by the "Specialized Department Laboratory" (mainly for graduate students and fourth-year undergraduate students) and the "Cluster Laboratory" (mainly for graduate students and fourth-year undergraduate students), which aims to tackle cross-disciplinary problems and implement them in society. As the third research activity, we are promoting the ``Research Yume Kobo'' system, in which students in all grades are working on themes that they themselves want to explore and research themes related to Yume Kobo project activities.

"Data Dreamers", which was newly launched in June 2023 under the Research Dream Research Institute, is Kanazawa Institute of Technology's first extracurricular project related to data science. Keisuke Masuda, a first-year graduate student majoring in information engineering, will serve as the project manager, and about 6 students will aim to become data scientists who can solve social issues through study sessions and participation in competitions.

The launch began in 2022 as part of Kanazawa Institute of Technology's industry-academia collaborative education "KIT Co-op Education Program." Mr. Keisuke Masuda, then a fourth-year student in the Department of Information Engineering, and Shunya Rikuta, a first-year student in the graduate school's Department of Information Engineering. This is because he worked as an "employee" of NTT West Japan for a month and was involved in data science work at NTT Marketing Act ProCX. After that, the two conceived the school's first extracurricular project related to data analysis and launched "Data Dreamers."

"Data Dreamers" is a group of students from a wide variety of undergraduate and academic years who conduct activities based on the two axes of "creating opportunities to improve skills in data analysis" and "solving social issues using open and closed real data." We work in seven groups, including ``Image,'' ``Finance,'' and ``LLM,'' with the aim of realizing this together with students. Data scientists who can respond to real-world issues while participating in group study sessions, the ``University of Tokyo Global Consumer Intelligence Endowed Course,'' the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's digital promotion human resource development program ``Manabi DX Quest,'' and various contests. hone your skills as a
