The "Oricon Data Set" provides the academic research community with the largest survey data in Japan that Oricon has accumulated since 2006 (about 100 industries, with a cumulative total of more than 200 million responses) as it is.In the past, it was difficult to provide data to researchers in terms of proper management of personal information and privacy, but with NII acting as a contact point and establishing a mechanism to regularly grasp the usage status and research results of users, Oricon Data provision has been realized.

　This partnership will enable the academic community to conduct hands-on research using realistic data. By complementarily utilizing the data sets provided by NII, it is expected that new technologies and services will be developed and business opportunities will be created in various academic cultures, including the marketing field.Furthermore, by providing young researchers, including university and graduate students, with the opportunity to research with such actual data, it is expected to contribute to education and human resource development in data science.

　This dataset will be provided from the survey data (for 2016 respondents) from 67 onward through the informatics research data repository operated by the NII Dataset Joint Use Research and Development Center, and other data will be prepared. It will be added one by one as soon as it is ready.
