Saitama Institute of Technology held the 2019th CG Contest, which is a collection of CG works of junior high school and high school students, as a sponsorship project of Saitama Prefectural Arts and Culture Festival 16.
Saitama Institute of Technology has two information-related departments (Faculty of Engineering, Department of Information Systems, and Faculty of Human and Social Studies, Department of Information Sociology), and has researchers and faculty members with a wealth of experience in the CG field.Taking advantage of this feature, we are holding a CG contest aimed at providing a place for junior high school and high school students who will lead the next generation to present their works and supporting expression activities that utilize digital technology.
This 16th CG contest will be held in the "Digital Expression Division" centered on conventional still images and videos, the "Fukaya City Local PR Division" with the theme of local Fukaya City as part of regional and social cooperation, and "Fukaya City Local PR Division". The "Interactive Division" was newly established, and works were solicited in the above three divisions.
A total of 221 works have been submitted from middle and high school students in the Kanto and Kansai regions, mainly in Saitama Prefecture, and the submitted works are judged by a judging committee consisting mainly of experts in the fields of CG, video, and IT, for a total of 18 works. Selected award-winning works.The work "Warning for the Future Society" by the Information Technology Department Art Department Team (Ibaraki Prefectural Mito Technical Senior High School) in the Digital Expression Division of high school students was selected for the highest award and the Saitama Prefectural Governor's Award.
