According to Prefectural University of Hiroshima, Eikei University will adopt a one-corporation, two-university system and will be established under the public university corporation that operates Prefectural University of Hiroshima. The maximum number of students in the first grade is 1.Of these, half, 2, will be selected by comprehensive selection with the AO entrance exam renamed, and 1 will accept foreign students.For the remaining 100 people, 50 people will be recommended by the school and 20 people will be used for general entrance examinations.In the future, we will consider accepting working people.About 30 full-time faculty members will be assigned.
The new president is scheduled to be Vice President Mutshiro Yunobu of the University of Tokyo.The name of Eikei University is said to have the meaning of developing human resources who will open up a new era by trying to solve problems beyond the framework of literacy.The campus of the new university will be used by acquiring the land and buildings of the Hiroshima International University Hiroshima Campus in Nobori-cho, Naka-ku, Hiroshima City, which is about 10 minutes from JR Hiroshima Station.
The Faculty of Social System Design teaches in both Japanese and English, focusing on learning liberal arts with an awareness of the SDGs, and working with local communities and companies to solve various problems.Furthermore, through experiences such as studying abroad, we will cultivate a spirit of challenge and develop human resources who can respond to major changes in the times such as internationalization and progress of ICT (information and communication) technology.
