In recent years, research in the field of sports data science, which combines sports and IT, has made remarkable progress.Especially in rugby, data is collected using IT such as GPS and drones for games and practice, and strategy construction based on scientific analysis and guidance to athletes are practiced.
This time, Keio SDM and Taisho Pharmaceutical will accompany the summer training camp at Lake Yamanaka of the Keio Gymnasium Kickball Club and start collecting data on the content of the play.The collected data will be shared and analyzed by Taisho Pharmaceutical, Keio SDM and Keio Rugby Club.The results of the analysis will be used to develop new teaching methods aimed at preventing athletes' injuries and improving performance, as well as solutions for athletes' recovery.In addition, in collaboration with Keio University Sports Medicine Research Center and Physical Education Research Institute, we will promote research based on specialized knowledge on sports medicine, health, and sports.
Until now, Keio SDM and Keio Rugby Club have collected and accumulated various data such as body composition, training intensity, video in games and GPS from the viewpoint of system design in order to prevent injuries to athletes and demonstrate high performance. By doing so, we are practicing nutritional guidance and training guidance based on scientific analysis.On the other hand, Taisho Pharmaceutical has been developing fatigue-related products such as Lipovitan D for many years and has accumulated knowledge about fatigue.In this joint research, by fusing and developing the strengths of both, we aim to understand the fatigue state and find out how to deal with it, and to build a recovery program for athletes.
