Gakujo Co., Ltd. conducts an internet questionnaire on job hunting for university and graduate students scheduled to graduate (complete) in March 2021.We investigated the response of job hunting. The number of valid responses is 3.

According to the survey, the feeling of job hunting was "severe than expected" (34.9%) and "severe as expected" (17.9%), and about half (52.8%) answered that it was "severe". The results exceeded 1.9% for "easy as expected" and 19.1% for "easier than expected", and the percentage of respondents who answered "severe" increased by 2019 points from the same period in 3.4.

The most common reason for feeling "severe" about job hunting was "it's hard to get a job offer" at 39.4%.This was followed by "I was affected by the new coronavirus" at 26.3%.In 2019, 58.5% of the respondents answered about expenses such as transportation expenses, but it can be seen that the burden of expenses such as transportation expenses has been eased for 2021 graduate students by making recruitment activities online.

The most difficult thing about job hunting was "how to find a company that seems to suit you" at 47.7%. The same items are the most common in 2019, and it can be seen that many students feel that "how to find a company that suits them" is an issue regardless of whether or not the new coronavirus has an effect. The item for which the number of responses increased compared to 2019 was "How to obtain information that is difficult to obtain on the Web, such as the atmosphere of the company," which increased by 7.4 points.Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, the number of companies that are promoting online recruitment activities such as conducting webinars and web selections has increased, and it can be seen that many students find it difficult to grasp the atmosphere of the company.

On the other hand, the item that decreased compared to 2019 was "Schedule adjustment with activities other than job hunting such as schoolwork and part-time work" at 8.0%, a decrease of 2019 points from the same period in 7.1.It can be seen that many students feel that securing time and adjusting schedules for job hunting has been relatively smooth due to the advancement of online university classes and job hunting activities. In addition, 22.4% of the students said that their job hunting was stagnant due to the influence of the new coronavirus.
