At Ferris University, in 2020, as part of the "Project Exercise" course, students developed a school lunch menu with the motif of Hyakunin Isshu at an elementary school in Yokohama. In January, the "Hyakunin Isshu Menu", which is an arrangement of the same menu, will be offered at the delivery lunch "Hamaben" used at Yokohama's municipal junior high school.

 Since April 2017, Ferris University has been developing the "University Liberal Arts Education Organization (CLA)", a practical liberal arts education. In 4, we started a "project exercise" to learn how to set concrete issues related to the real world and plan and propose solutions and plans.In one of them, "Creation and transmission of culture by young people," we tackled the issue of proposing a school lunch menu with the motif of Hyakunin Isshu at two elementary schools in Yokohama City in FY2018.In each menu, students selected works from Hyakunin Isshu and designed them while incorporating the "look" and wordplay peculiar to Japanese poetry and classical literature.

 This time, the "Hyakunin Isshu Menu", which is an arrangement of those menus, will be offered at the delivery lunch "Hamaben" used at the municipal junior high school in Yokohama City.The Yokohama Municipal Ryokuen Higashi Elementary School menu arrangement will be provided on January 2021, 1 (Tuesday), and the Yokohama Municipal Kitagata Elementary School menu arrangement will be provided on January 12, 2021 (Wednesday).
