Students from the Faculty of Human and Social Studies at Chiba University of Commerce devised a menu called "Reconstruction Support Bowl" that uses products from companies damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and started selling it at the student venture cafeteria on campus.

Nine seminar students of Associate Professor Takayuki Teshigawara devised the "Reconstruction Support Bowl".From February to March 9, the students participated in a "reconstruction support intern" where they had a work experience at a disaster-stricken company in Miyagi prefecture. He worked as an intern at three locations, including a disaster-affected company in Ishinomaki City and Onagawa Town. The students engaged in various activities with a view to seeing the disaster area five years after the earthquake with their own eyes and disseminating local information other than what they learned from the press. After that, thinking about what they could do for the disaster area, they planned and sold the "Reconstruction Support Bowl".

The "Reconstruction Support Bowl", which will be sold for a limited time from June 6th to 13th, uses canned products of Kinoya Ishinomaki Suisan Co., Ltd. and Yamahon Co., Ltd., which are internship companies.Mainly mackerel landed at Ishimaki Port and silver salmon cultivated with herb-containing bait, the spicy fried high vegetables made by the student venture restaurant "Chinese restaurant Tsubaki" enhances the overall taste. It is offered daily at "Chinese Restaurant Tsubaki" with 17 meals limited to one day.

At the Teshigawara Seminar, whose research theme is social workers, in order to learn about the current situation of disaster-stricken areas and evacuees that change over time, and to acquire the ability to derive necessary support and reconstruction issues and their solutions. We go to evacuation sites and provide education that emphasizes learning through interaction with people. The record of this "reconstruction support intern" activity is scheduled to be exhibited at open campuses and school festivals.
