An international linear collider project in which electrons and positrons collide head-on with ultra-high energy in an underground tunnel with a total length of more than 30 km. We have compiled a report that is necessary for the development of human resources.

According to the report, an average of 9 construction-related personnel and 1,124 installation-related personnel are required for the nine-year construction period of the International Linear Collider. It is assumed that the construction preparation period will be four years before the start of construction, during which 479 core members will be trained.
Unlike general facility construction, the International Linear Collider has many special materials and parts, and requires highly specialized engineers in various fields.

Human resources development related to large accelerators has been promoted by in-work training, but in recent years, the plan has become long-term and large-scale, and the opportunities for young human resources to participate in the project have decreased. The number that can be trained through workplace training is also decreasing.

Furthermore, as the number of accelerator-related laboratories is decreasing at universities, it has become difficult to attract human resources who can be said to be accelerator specialists. For this reason, it is possible that there will be a shortage of human resources in the current situation.

The Council of Experts says that it is necessary to develop human resources strategically and systematically after deciding the international division of roles, mobilize human resources with high expertise in each technical field, and change the required amount of human resources. We are also looking for a system that can respond to the situation.

The International Linear Collider Project aims to explore the mysteries of the creation of the universe, mass, time and space by creating high-energy reactions approaching the early universe. It is considered as a large-scale core plan to be realized next to the facilities operating at the CERN Institute in Europe.
