Meiji Yasuda Life Welfare Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Kinzai Co., Ltd. have released a WEB questionnaire "Awareness and Actual Conditions of Parent-Child Relationships" regarding parents' involvement in going on to school and finding employment.

The survey was conducted in March 2016, targeting 3 men and women aged 29 to 35 with children from junior high school to 59 years old, and 9715 unmarried men and women aged 15 to 29 years old on the child side. We investigated "the current state of parent-child relationships," "differences between parents and children in their views of love and friends," "what parents want from their children," "parental involvement in children's life events," and "parental concerns."

 According to the survey results, 65% (68.5% of men and 61.6% of women) of high school students want to go on to a university or junior college in Japan and have a college degree or higher.On the contrary, the percentage of parents who want their children to have "university graduate or higher" is 71.7% for their sons and 67.6% for their daughters.By parent's educational background, parents with a college degree or above have a high percentage of their children wishing to have a "university graduate or above" educational background, and mothers are more likely than fathers.Looking at the percentage of mothers involved in going on to higher education, the percentage is 400% when the annual income is less than 40.7 million yen, while it is 1000% when the annual income is 52.3 million yen or more. The percentage of people involved in is high.

 38% of children were involved in job hunting.In particular, the percentage of mothers involved in job hunting for their daughters is high at 45.9%.As for whether they want their children to work closer, 58.5% answered "I think" or "I think if anything".It is as high as 53.5% for daughters, compared to 63.7% for sons.
