find their role in the international community,
Becoming a person who brings about change in society through knowledge and practice

Let's take a closer look at the four years of study at the Department of Symbiosis, Faculty of Global Symbiosis.

After studying English intensively in the first year, students take Foundation courses in the second year. This is a basic subject for acquiring the attitudes and ideas necessary for global citizens. While learning about self-inquiry, Japanese history, religion, etc., they will discover their own role in the international community.

In addition, students will study a wide range of subjects in the three liberal arts fields of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Business & Economics, which serve as the foundation for understanding and solving the various problems facing global society. .In addition, as “experiential learning,” students will hone their ability to practice and take action through experiential learning such as study abroad, internships in Japan and overseas, service learning provided by overseas partner universities, and volunteer work. And the culmination is the 3th year "Capstone".

“Capstone is a graduation project that takes on global issues by demonstrating the knowledge, experience, abilities, and multifaceted perspectives that have been cultivated so far. You can choose the method of presentation, poster session, paper, etc. Through collaboration with international students, you will also acquire skills such as team building and leadership.”

After graduation, various career paths are assumed, such as domestic and overseas global companies, international cooperation organizations, and international civil servants. Some people may feel that such a four-year period is a high hurdle.

“I want people like that to take on the challenge. Based on my own experience, I tell them to seize the opportunity when they feel uneasy or find it difficult. Overcoming this should be a good opportunity to change your life. The world needs you.Japan is a country that plays an important role in the world.I want the young people of Japan to shine more."
