Tohoku Fukushi University is committed to developing human resources who can contribute to the realization of the SDGs and the realization of a community-based society, with the founding spirit of "gakugaku ichijo" (integration of theory and practice).As one of the leading welfare universities in Japan, it is a university with a wide range of learning in 4 faculties and 9 departments (4 majors) where you can study welfare, psychology, administration, management, information, education, nursing, rehabilitation, medical affairs, and emergency lifesaving.
The campus has a special nursing home, a nursery school, a kindergarten, an affiliated hospital, etc., and is also a place for student training and volunteer activities.By putting the knowledge learned at university into practice in the field, we aim to develop human resources who have practical skills as well as the ability to think and theorize.
In the first to fourth years, students also take a "liaison seminar." In Liaison Seminar I, which first-year students take, classes are held in small classes to help them adapt to university life.We have prepared a program for students to acquire study skills at university, deepen their understanding of themselves and society, and think about their careers. In the second year and above, the content will increase according to the characteristics of each department.
We are also focusing on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) education, and we have introduced a system that lends laptop computers to all students so that information from the university and course registration can be done online.
