Chiba University of Commerce has opened "The University HUB", a space where students and faculty members can create ideas through discussions. Student use began on November 11th.
"The University HUB" is a renovated facility of Mizuho Kaikan next to the main gate of the university."Dance & Live Studio" and "Co-works Lab", which are the activity bases of the university cheer dance team "glitter's", on the first floor of the basement, and "HUB & DINING Bureau", which supports the realization of "real business learning" on the first floor. On the 1th floor, there is a "University SOHO" that can be used by students aiming to start a student business and groups engaged in various project activities, and we have prepared a place where new learning beyond the faculty is born.For cultural activities, there is also a small theater "University Theater" and "TATAMI ROOM" that can be used for tea ceremony on the 1th floor.
The "Co-works Lab" on the first basement floor has a meeting room "ROOM" where students, teachers, and companies can stimulate each other's creativity, and "KOSAKU ROOM" where you can create signs and exhibits. The environment where it can be used is also in place.At "Dance & Live Studio," students also plan and manage dance schools.
The "University Store" is scheduled to open on the first floor in December 2016.Original products devised by the student project will be sold as a "merchandise" place for industry-academia collaboration, and products developed by high school students nationwide will be sold on consignment.It will be a place where new ideas are born, and it will also be used as a place for practical education of business in collaboration with companies.
