The "All Japan Japan Bowl Tournament", a quiz tournament for Japanese and Japanese culture for foreign students residing in Japan, will be held in November at the Morita Memorial Hall of Kyoto University of Foreign Studies in Saiinkasame-cho, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City.The Japan Bowl Tournament is a quiz tournament sponsored by the Japan-America Society of Washington, and has been held mainly in the United States so far, and is the first time it has been held in Japan.
According to Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, participants will form a team of three to take quizzes not only on Japanese but also on Japanese culture, society, history, geography, and current affairs.The winning team will receive a travel ticket worth 3 yen, and the excellent team will receive an Amazon gift certificate worth 1 yen.
Contestant entries will be accepted on the web until July 7st.Qualifications are for those who are studying abroad at an educational institution higher than a Japanese high school, including Japanese language schools, and have stayed within 21 years in total.A student ID card for high school, graduate school, university, Japanese language school, exchange student, etc. is required.
The Japan Bowl Tournament began in 1992 in Washington, the capital of the United States, and is held annually in the United States.It is now recognized as a top-level academic conference for Japanese learners, and more than 200 high school students participate every time.There are also examples held in Europe and Mexico.
