The Kyoto University Graduate School of Business Administration plans to set up a Tourism Management Science Course (Tourism MBA Course) from April 2018, and on September 4, an international symposium will be held at the hotel "Hyatt Regency Kyoto" in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City. Opened "Attractiveness of Japan and Kyoto in the World Tourism Business" (sponsored by the Tourism Agency, Japan Tourism Bureau, Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto Chamber of Commerce, etc.).

 According to Kyoto University, the international symposium starts at 1:1 pm. In the first part, entitled "The Charm of Japan as a Tourist Destination in the World," Kay Chung, Dean of Tourism and Hotel, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, David Atkinson, President of Konishi Decorative Arts & Crafts, and Michael Dykes, Representative of Expedia Holdings. Will give a keynote speech in English.Simultaneous interpretation will be provided for English lectures.

 The second part is a panel discussion where Associate Professor Tadayuki Hara of the University of Central Florida, Secretary General Takeo Mori of the Kansai Tourism Headquarters, Executive Officer Seiko Nakano of Japan Airlines, and Managing Executive Officer Toshihiko Inaji of Keihan Holdings will discuss the appeal of Kyoto in Japan.
