Taro Oguro Seminar of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences, Fukushima University has published a new booklet, "From Fukushima Students to Taiwanese Friends-The Story of Our Fukushima Life 31", which tells the daily lives of Fukushima University students to their friends in Fukushima. It will be distributed in Japan and Taiwan with more than 200 pages spelled out in traditional Chinese and Japanese.
According to Fukushima University, what was spelled out was the appearance of Fukushima as a disaster-stricken area of the Great East Japan Earthquake, which shows the daily lives of students, the efforts of students for reconstruction through seminar activities, food and agriculture in Fukushima, and so on. Local activities, international exchange, etc.
The exchange between Fukushima University School of Administration and Social Sciences and Taiwan began in 2019 when students from Fukushima University School of Administration and Social Sciences visited Taipei, Taiwan.Since then, three groups from Taiwan have visited Fukushima and two groups from Fukushima have visited Taiwan to deepen their friendship until the spread of the new coronavirus makes mutual visits difficult.
A deeper understanding of each other is the basis of friendship, but Fukushima is different from other areas in that the scars of the Great East Japan Earthquake remain and the affected people are nearby.Students are also witnessing the reality of the harsh disaster area in the immediate vicinity of their daily lives. Therefore, at the Daikoku Seminar, we created a booklet that summarizes the daily lives of Fukushima University students into 31 stories so that Taiwanese friends can learn more about the daily lives of Fukushima students who have special circumstances.
