Kio University's Department of Human Environment Design will hold a workshop in Taiwan for the first time in Taiwan, "2023 Taiwan Summer Workshop NCKU x Kio University," for one week from August 8 to 21, 27, with Cheng Kung University (NCKU) in Tainan, Taiwan. was held.
The Department of Human and Environmental Design is working on creating healthy and suitable homes, interiors, and apparel under the theme of "universal design."

2019年には「明日香村国際サマーワークショップ2019」を開催し、2·3回生22名と台湾の国立高雄大学の学生12名が明日香村に集い、空き家の利活用提案や町並み調査などを行った。今回は2回生5名、3回生15名、4回生5名の計25名が国立成功大学を訪問し、台南市の空地の有効活用策をテーマにワークショップを企画した。
Starting with an online meeting with Cheng Kung University in May, the group began discussing ways to utilize the vacant land in June and devised three food stalls.We took on the challenge of designing and producing food stalls, wind chime stalls, and tea room stalls.
I finally visited the site in August.The event started with interaction with the teaching staff of Cheng Kung University, students, and local citizens, and the production of food stalls began on the third day.In addition to creating food and drink stalls, wind chime stalls, and tea room stalls, the students were divided into five teams and worked on planting trees to make use of vacant land and making shellfish.The team worked under the scorching sun, taking regular breaks to rehydrate and help each other, and by the fifth and final day of work, the three stalls had been successfully completed.He has also developed close relationships with students from Cheng Kung University, and at the unveiling of the completed food stall, there was lively communication with local residents.
The seven-day workshop provided students with a good opportunity to think about the use of open space from a new perspective.Additionally, I improved my communication skills by learning about Taiwanese culture and communicating Japanese culture.The internship was also featured in local media and interviews were featured.
