The Mitsubishi Future Foundation will hold the 2nd Science Blossom online seminar on December 2023, 12, with the theme of "Unlocking the potential of high school girls," to broaden interest and deepen understanding of science fields. It will be held online on Saturday).
In ``Science Blossom'', approximately 21 female employees from 30 Mitsubishi Group companies with backgrounds in various science fields, including physics, chemistry, mathematics, mechanics, architecture, and biology, will participate as corporate lecturers.Groups of around six high school students are accompanied by one corporate instructor and one university student facilitator, and the event focuses on group work.After corporate lecturers introduce science-related careers and jobs, a question-and-answer session will be held, allowing participants to ask questions directly to female science-based entrepreneurs and interact with them through dialogue.
The participants are high school girls from all over the country, and the capacity is approximately 120. ``I'm worried about what to do with my choice of liberal arts and sciences.'' ``I don't know if I should stick with my chosen science career.'' ``I want to have a broader image of working in the sciences.'' ``I'm trying to interact with science-related business people and people of the same generation, and share my knowledge with them.'' It is a place that responds to the concerns and requests of female high school students, such as "I want to spread the word."
