The Studyplus Trend Research Institute, operated by Studyplus Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.'s balanced nutritional food "Calorie Mate", will run a program on the learning management app "Studyplus" from November 2023th to November 11th, 24. We conducted a ``survey on studying for entrance exams and career paths'' targeting 11 high school seniors and ronin students who are studying hard for university entrance exams, as well as first- and second-year university students who have taken university entrance exams.

According to the survey, the top three answers to the question, ``Looking back on your exam preparation up until now, what kanji character describes your feelings?'' were ``spicy,'' ``pain,'' and ``easy.'' There are both positive and negative words, and each examinee seems to have a wide range of emotions. Regarding ``I was able to grow through studying for entrance exams,'' ``Human relationships/feeling of gratitude,'' ``Patience/Persistence,'' ``Self-awareness/How to face things,'' ``Consistency/Effort,'' and ``Planning/Time management'' each received a 3. It seems that there are many test takers who have collected answers around % and feel that they have grown as people.

41.5% of respondents answered that ``a friend from school'' was/was the person who gave them the most emotional support while studying for entrance exams. This was followed by "parents" at 21.4%, and "artists/singers" at 7.5%. Regarding ``Tips for staying immersed when studying for entrance exams and taking exams,'' the top answer at 46.9% was ``getting enough sleep to avoid sleep deprivation.'' This was followed by 46.8% who said they would cut out things that tempt them to study (games, SNS, etc.) and 26.3% who said they would eat to avoid going hungry. It can be seen that they are trying to prevent lack of sleep and hunger and keep themselves in good condition.

When asked what type of exam they plan to take or have experienced, just under 7% said they would take the general selection only. This was followed by "general selection + school recommendation selection at 12.0%" and "school recommendation selection at 7.1%." Also, when asked about the unique format of the entrance exam, some of the answers include ``doing chemistry experiments,'' ``submitting a learning resume,'' ``writing haiku, tanka, and stories,'' and ``listening to lectures on campus for 1 days and 2 night, holding discussions and giving presentations.'' A variety of exam formats were seen, such as ``After completing the exam, you will be interviewed at a later date.''

Reference: [Studyplus] Tips for immersing yourself in studying for increasingly diverse university entrance exams such as "chemical experiments" and "submitting a learning resume" are "sleep", "avoid temptation", and "meal" - Calorie Mate x Studyplus Trend Institute investigated the life of 2,399 people taking entrance exams.
