The Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business Administration, Musashino University (Koto Ward, Tokyo) collaborated with Japan's Most Playful Company (Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture) to plan and create a mock class that can be experienced on the Metaverse. This is Japan's first attempt at a simulated university class in the Metaverse, which was built using the platform of the global online game Fortnite.
Those who wish to participate can start the experience by entering Fortnite and searching for something like "Musashino University." Buildings, etc. are reproduced on the same scale as reality, and the route from the station to the university is also realistically expressed. It can also be used by participants from far away to preview before participating in the real open campus. Participants created an avatar modeled after an active faculty member (Associate Professor Daiki Takahashi, Faculty of Business Administration, Musashino University) and learned about the topic of ``Convenience Store Location Strategy,'' which is actually used in ``Business Strategy,'' one of the department's famous lectures. You can also experience it. In addition, we have prepared immersive mechanisms that are unique to the Metaverse, such as warping through space and moving using rails like a fast-paced roller coaster.
