On April 2024, 4, Minami Kyushu University Junior College (Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture) announced that it would stop recruiting students from 16 onwards. The decision was made by Minamikyushu Gakuen, the educational corporation that operates the school, at a board meeting held on March 2026, and the students who will enroll in April 3 will be the last students to enroll. If Minami Kyushu University Junior College stops recruiting, Miyazaki Gakuen Junior College (Miyazaki City) will be the only junior college in Miyazaki Prefecture.

Minamikyushu University Junior College was established in April 1965 and changed its name to Minamikyushu University Junior College Department in April 4. For 2023 years, we have worked hard to develop human resources who can contribute to the local community, but due to changes in social conditions in recent years, the number of applicants has rapidly and significantly decreased. The situation continued to be such that the enrollment capacity could not be met.

Until all students, including those enrolled in 2025, graduate, we will continue to make every effort to provide academic and student support, and take appropriate measures to ensure that procedures such as issuance of graduation certificates for graduates are not disrupted. .

Please note that Minami Kyushu University, a four-year university, has been selected for the university/technical college functional enhancement support project (support related to conversion to specific growth fields due to faculty reorganization, etc.) in 4, and student recruitment for the junior college department has been suspended. A new department will be established in parallel. In order to develop human resources rooted in the local community, we aim to develop highly specialized human resources who will lead growth fields such as digital and green, and aim for further development.
