 According to Doshisha University, Professor Tomoyuki Hiroyasu of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Doshisha University entitled "In the Third Boom of Artificial Intelligence" and Professor Katsuhiro Kohara of the Faculty of Theology, Doshisha University entitled "Thinking about Conscience from Artificial Intelligence and Robots". I gave a lecture.

 Professor Hiroyasu touched on the background of the artificial intelligence boom, explained the possibility of the birth of general-purpose artificial intelligence with intelligence equivalent to humans, and the technically difficult parts, and then researched artificial intelligence. Explained that it is necessary to have a conscientious and philosophical perspective, which leads to human understanding.

 Professor Ohara shows the point of contact between artificial intelligence and robot research and conscience through many examples, and it is necessary to broaden the concept not only by limiting conscience to the work of human beings, but also by considering nature and man-made objects. Explained that there is a need to build new values ​​with a view to mutual penetration between humans and artificial objects.

 After that, a panel discussion was held with Professor Hiroyasu and Professor Ohara, Professor Shin Shigeyuki of the Faculty of Letters, and Professor Satoshi Taguchi of the Faculty of Commerce, and exchanged opinions on ethical issues associated with themes such as autonomous driving of cars.
