DISCO Co., Ltd. conducted a survey on the degree of satisfaction of university life, etc., among the 2019th year university students (including the 3nd year master's students in the graduate school) who are scheduled to graduate in March 4 and who have decided on a company to work for.

According to the survey, 3% of the respondents answered that they were "90% or more" satisfied with the university. When asked "Did you feel a gap after enrollment?", "I felt very much" (11.5%) and "I felt a little" (42.3%), more than half (53.8%) in total, and felt some kind of gap before and after entering university. I found out that it was.

The specific content of the gap was "I was a department to learn about the environment, but I couldn't learn much about the natural sciences. (Science boys)" "Only the faculty I entered was on another campus. (Humanities girls) ”“ Because it is a national university, I was wondering if I could receive detailed guidance with a smaller number of people, but the main focus was on lectures with a large number of people. (Humanities boys) ”, etc. It turned out that there are many cases where they are tied together.

Regarding "points to check when choosing a school of choice", "what you can learn / qualifications you can aim for" (64.9%), "location of school / surrounding environment" (64.4%) exceeded 6%, followed by "atmosphere on campus". (55.0%) and "Employment rate / Employment destination" (48.3%).The largest difference in humanities was "research content and graduation thesis theme", with science being 5th (38.5%), while humanities was 21.9%, 12th.

From this survey, those with a high degree of satisfaction in college life were interested in employment-related information at the university, considering their careers after graduation from the stage of selecting a university.
In addition, the biggest difference between those with high university satisfaction and those with low university satisfaction was the presence or absence of participation in the open campus. In order to increase the satisfaction of university life, more information should be collected and the open campus should be used. It seems effective to have a concrete image by participating and enjoying the atmosphere of the university, listening to the voices of students and graduates, and learning about the content of learning.Furthermore, it was read from this survey that by being interested in future careers and collecting information when going on to university, you can lead a fulfilling university life, which leads to a satisfactory employment. (The number of respondents is 835).
