The British Council, an international cultural exchange organization in the United Kingdom, will hold an international academic conference on December 2019-12, 7, at Pacifico Yokohama in Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, to discuss issues related to English proficiency evaluation.Before 9, when Japan's English education will reach a major milestone, policy makers, education experts, and researchers will meet and exchange opinions.
According to the British Council, a pre-workshop will be held at Yokohama National University in Tokiwadai, Hodogaya-ku, Yokohama on the 7th, where experts will discuss the three themes of eye tracking seminars, online learning, and statistics.
On the 8th and 9th, at Pacifico Yokohama, the main venue, Professor Yoshinori Watanabe of the Graduate School of Linguistic Sciences, Sophia University, "Critical Analysis of 2019 National English Examination Results," Professor Barry O'Sullivan, Chief of the English Assessment Research Division, British Council A plenary session will be held on the theme of "Development of a comprehensive learning system in Japan".

This conference was held for the first time in Beijing, China in 2013, and is the world's largest international conference on English evaluation, and this is the seventh time.This will be the second time the event has been held in Japan since 7.
