Yokohama National University has signed cooperation agreements with Kanto Gakuin University, Kitasato University, Sophia University, Tokyo Science University, and Yokohama City University on the advancement of teacher training.
This agreement was signed to contribute to solving educational issues in Kanagawa prefecture, where the generations change rapidly.Among aspiring teachers at partner schools, students who aspire to be teachers in Kanagawa Prefecture and have the qualifications and aptitude as teachers are targeted.In the Department of Advanced Teaching Practice (Professional School for Teacher Education), Graduate School of Education, Yokohama National University, we train and train "teachers as advanced professionals" who support the creation of new schools.
In 2021, the graduate school for teacher education will significantly increase the capacity from the current 15 to 60.A "school management program" that aims to train middle leaders, managerial candidates, supervisors, etc. who are responsible for autonomous school management and school management, and young people with specialized knowledge of subjects or special support and advanced practical leadership. We will establish two programs, "Course Education / Special Support Education Program", which aims to train teachers, and aim to transform into a comprehensive teaching profession graduate school.
In order to realize a smooth connection to the graduate school for teaching profession, we have implemented multiple "connection preparation programs" in collaboration with the graduate school for teaching profession, targeting undergraduate students of partner schools with an eye on advancing to the graduate school for teaching profession.We will develop a program (workshop format) to experience the team power required for learning at the graduate school for teacher education, including a program to participate in the interim report meeting of school problem solving research conducted by the graduate school for teacher education.
Fourth-year students who have taken the "Connection Preparation Program" can participate in the special selection in November, and among the universities that have a partnership agreement, those who wish to have a credit transfer system will be newly assigned to the Professional School for Teacher Education. It is also possible to take advance courses for the elementary school teacher license acquisition program that is set.In addition, in order to achieve the purpose of the cooperation agreement, we will implement the matters deemed necessary by each university.
The reorganization of the graduate school for teaching profession is currently being applied to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.Contents may change.
