On April 2016, 4, Toyo University (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) and France Bed Co., Ltd. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) signed an industry-academia collaboration agreement.Upon concluding the agreement, the "Industry-Academia Collaboration Agreement Signing Ceremony" was held, and President Shinji Fukukawa and President Shigeru Ikeda signed the agreement.The purpose of concluding this cooperation agreement is to contribute to health promotion in a super-aging society by utilizing mutual resources.
Through this collaboration, we will work on joint research to solve technical problems in product development, aiming for commercialization utilizing research results and dissemination of research results.As a specific initiative, the Product Development Department of the Production Development Headquarters of France Bed will work on joint research with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology of the same university, and the Medical Product Planning Office will work on joint research with the Department of Human Environmental Design, Faculty of Life Design.
Future developments include the development of new products, demonstration experiments of French bed products, sales of products that have been put into practical use by the university's intellectual property using the French bed sales channel, and the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Human Environmental Design. Joint research with other companies is being considered.
