Kansai University has signed a "business consignment contract for startup support business" with TSUTAYA Co., Ltd. A new startup support business base will be set up in collaboration with industry and academia at the Umeda Campus "KANDAI Me RISE" to be opened in October 2016.
"KANDAI Me RISE" will be a new "base of knowledge" that provides educational content that meets the needs of the times in a free atmosphere without permanently establishing a specific faculty or graduate school.Together with TSUTAYA, which is engaged in startup support projects nationwide, we will provide various support to young people who will lead the next generation to encourage the mindset and actions to start a business or start a business.
On the new 8-story campus, the first "TSUTAYA BOOK STORE" in Japan will be opened on the campus.A "startup cafe" will be set up in the store, and the coordinator, who is a resident counselor for entrepreneurship support, will be available for free consultation not only for students but also for the general public.
We will also expand our network through skill-up seminars, self-development seminars, business contests, and exchange meetings with OB / OG entrepreneurs.We aim to build an ecosystem that will support students from OBs and OGs who are active in various fields, and support from students to the next entrepreneur.
The CCC Group, including TSUTAYA, provides start-up support and business collaboration for many startups through the operation of the start-up support base "Startup Cafe" developed by Fukuoka City and the business support program "T-VENTURE PROGRAM" for venture companies. This has led to this collaboration.
